Diamond wire saw suitable for large cuts of marble, stone and similar materials; it is equipped with an electronic device for setting the wire speed from 0 to 40 metres/second, which makes it suitable for cutting any type of material.
The machine can operate automatically, without the assistance of an operator, and it is completely PLC-managed which makes it possible to define all the required cutting parameters (length, wire type, cut type, etc…).
It can autonomously control:
- the wire tension based on the preselected amperage;
- stopping the machine at the end of the cutting operation;
- stopping the machine when it reaches the end of the rail, which releases the tension on the diamond wire so that it remains free;
- stopping the machine if the wire, the rubber profiles or the flywheels break or if the cutting wire is not being cooled. It can manage the following operations from the external equipment:
- opening/closing the valve for the coolant, by timing the various openings/closures
- switching off pumps or a generator set.Furthermore it is equipped with a special SET function which allows it to automatically select the amperage and the speed at which to operate in order to obtain the best performance from the diamond wire currently in use.Movable stainless steel (Ip 67) control panel installed on a galvanised tripod, fitted with a 10 metre long cable, all the machine control devices and a small operator panel which displays all the machine parameters and any problems that may arise.
The machine can also be fitted with an accident-prevention safety belt.
The machine is supplied with 2180 mm long, galvanised sliding tracks which are constructed with a robust box structure and which are light enough to allow the operator to easily move them.
